Because of the support of our clients, we have the capital to further our goal to end trafficking worldwide by investing in the next generation of women entrepreneurs in India, and we couldn't be more excited to be able to make an impact in this way.
To us, impact is about showing up to support someone who is working to change their life. In 2018, we contributed $15,000 in sales profits to fund a full year of programming at Her Future Coalition's Red Light Resource Centers in Kolkata, India. Their programming includes education, vocational training, and employment programs, as well as free child care and safe shelter to 250 women and children in two red light areas. The fact that Her Future Coalition offers jewelry design and fabrication as part of their program is above and beyond. Designing has been a healing art to me, so it's a privilege to provide funding so more women can have this experience.
